Precision Laser Etching and Cutting

We process various materials using the latest CO2 laser technology, including stainless steel, aluminium, acrylic, plastic, wood, glass, paper, and card.

Laser etching marks the product surface directly in fine detail. It’s ideal for permanently marking logos, serial numbers, bar codes and QR codes onto your products and manufacturing small parts and components.

Laser cutting delivers bold and intricate shapes with very high precision. As an alternative to traditional die cutting, its setup time is low, making it perfect for small-volume orders.

Laser Etching Acrylics

Laser-etched acrylic is a popular option for machine marking, data plates and manufacturer tags. The end product is suitable for indoor and outdoor use and available in various colours and finishes. Acrylic produces excellent etching results and cuts quickly and easily with a smooth edge finish requiring minimal polishing.

Similar plastic tags were once made from phenolic plastic sheeting, such as Traffolyte or Formica, engraved with a cutting bit. Traffolyte was so successful that the brand name became synonymous with engraved plastic tags. It is still commonly used as a generic product name.

Today, laser etching has replaced the cutting bit, and modern acrylic polymers have replaced phenolic plastic. The acrylic material consists of a two or three-layer sandwich, 0.8, 1.6 or 3.2mm thick. The top layer of polymer material is etched through to reveal a contrasting lower layer colour.

Acrylic has exceptional optical properties and provides good resistance to water. Acrylic also has excellent insulation properties, making etched acrylic tags the ideal choice for labelling in the electrical industry. We attach a high-strength, water-resistant adhesive to the back of our tags for easy application. Screw fixing holes can also be cut as part of the final part-cut process.

Laser Etched Aluminium Data Plates

Laser etching is a great way to print unique information on a generic anodised aluminium data plate that remains durable and resistant to the harshest of environments. Serial numbers, barcodes, QR codes, model numbers and manufacturing dates are all easy and fast to produce. We etch the entire data plate from black anodised aluminium for the most cost-effective solution for low quantities (or even a once-off plate), while remaining able to produce high-quality etchings in volume to your requirements for unique data per plate.

We can also produce etched data plates on other materials, including brass, steel and various polymers. We work with you in finding the best material based on its application and the data to be laser etched onto it.

Laser Cutting Gaskets & Other Products

Adhesive, foam and rubber gaskets are used in almost any product to provide sealing, vibration damping and soundproofing. We laser cut your custom gaskets using flexible and resilient double-liner acrylic adhesives combined with foam or rubber to suit your application. A custom gasket minimises material wastage, simplifies assembly and improves production speed. No matter how intricate the shape, we can make it!

Our technology is also suitable for manufacturing micro-scale replacement parts and components for hobby and restoration projects requiring precise laser-cutting services. We can cost-effectively produce almost exact copies of parts in brass, steel or other suitable materials.
